Many parents enjoy helping in school as a means of getting more involved in the life of the community in which they live. It may be that you have special skills or abilities which we are able to use or it may be that you would like to help us supporting in class, listening to children read, baking, gardening or preparing work for display if you prefer... It may even be that you are willing to supply extra help on a visit somewhere. Whatever your interest, if you would like to help, please let us know and we will do our best to make very good use of you!
If working in school is not for you, there are other ways in which you can support the work of a primary school. Parental roles in partnership with the school currently include:
- Friends of Cookridge (Parent Teacher Association)
- Attendance at events/celebrations
If you are curious as to what these roles may involve, please get in touch.
Parental Involvement is an area which I, personally, value enormously and during the coming months and years the number of ways in which you can 'get involved' in what we do here will multiply tenfold. If you have any ideas to get us started, please do contact me and share your vision.
I very much look forward to hearing from you.
