It has been another packed week in Year 3/4!
There were dramatic scenes at the start of the week as Class 5 were locked out of their classroom! Following this, the children are going to have to persuade the school staff that they can look after the school property. Similarly, in Class 4 and 6, children have been up-in-arms at proposed changes to the school day. As a result we have been busy working to compose persuasive letters that can argue the children’s point-of-view.
In Maths, we have continued to explore shape and space in different ways. Year 3 have been exploring, building and describing solid 3D shapes, whilst Year 4 have been getting familiar with compass points and directions.
Following on from our fantastic trip to York last week, we have continued exploring our Viking topic through our Art work. This week we have been practicing how to mix and blend colours, to help bring to life some traditional Viking designs.
Science work has seen us investigating how light travels, and discovering the reflective properties of a range of materials. We tested a number of materials in an attempt to consider the best materials to help design a hi-vis book-bag.
In DT, sessions this week we have been continuing to think about different foods, and what constitutes a balanced diet. Whilst in Computing we have been practicing how to communicate online by composing an email correspondence.
In Class 4, we have particularly enjoyed dancing around to Prince songs, whenever there was a spare moment!« Previous Page
