LKS2 News22 Mar 2016This week has been a whirlwind of activity in Years 3 and 4! We have begun looking at and exploring area and perimeter as part of our measure work, with children drawing shapes with certain perimeter on the playground using chalk. In English, children have been writing adventure stories using mysterious items they found. There imagination has been excellent, we’ve had everything from parts of spaceships to magic keys and almost everything in-between! Keep up the imaginative writing kids as your writing has been excellent this week! Our Maya work has continued apace, with children painting their clay Maya temples and idols. The children are looking forward to showing them off to you at our topic celebration event later this month. In science, children have been learning about classification keys and how to group and sort animals using questions and animal characteristics. In computing this week, children have been designing and programming their own characters, choosing and writing down their commands then reviewing and improving their work.
