Phew! What a week we have had in LKS2! This week we have been learning all about making the internet a ‘safer place’, and as it was ‘safer internet day’ on Tuesday, we have been thinking about how we can play our part to make the internet a kinder place...after all, anyone can use it!
In English this week we have been writing our own rainforest stories, bursting with fantastic descriptions, as well as reading our stories aloud to our groups, using amazing expression and
In Math’s this week, year 4 have been looking at improper fractions, and how to convert them to mixed numbers. Year 3 have been problem solving including adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator.
As we come to the end of our topic this half term, we have finally finished our Dioramas in DT, with a whole half term of effort been put in to making them they look absolutely amazing. We have now evaluated them and thought how we could make improvements if we were to do them again.
In Art we have been perfecting our technique on how to make 3-D pictures as well as making mosaic collages taking inspiration from the rainforest.
Last week in Science, we set up an investigation about evaporation. It was really exciting to see the results this week and be able to think of some conclusions.
Also, congratulations to Mr Gamble on his healthy baby boy who was born on Wednesday 3rd February….fantastic news!
