Homework Guidance Meeting for Parents07 Sep 2016Dear Parent/Carer,
As you may be aware, the new statutory National Curriculum is now being taught in schools across the country. The objectives within the curriculum are more challenging than previously taught and there are much higher expectations of pupils at an earlier age than ever before.
On Monday 12th September, at 2:30 pm in the school hall, (Years 2,3,4,5 and 6) are holding a homework guidance meeting for parents where we will outline the new policy. The new homework policy has been created to further support pupils learning and inform parents about expectations for pupils in reading, spelling and maths. Additionally, we will introduce and explain how to use the new homework resources we have purchased in order to meet the demands of the new curriculum and the expectations placed upon pupils.
All the information shared at the homework guidance meeting will be uploaded onto the school website.
We hope you can join us for this event and if you require any more information about the workshop then please see either Mr Gamble or Mr Maldonado as soon as possible.
