Starting September 2017, The Leeds United Foundation will be holding an after-school Football Club on a Friday afternoon from 3:15pm – 4:15pm.
During the activity, pupils will get an opportunity to engage in a variety of activities based around sport with an emphasis on football. Pupils will learn skills and techniques, and will also have the chance to compete in mini competitions during the club time. Some children will be picked to compete in tournaments against other schools.
Pupils will be taught by fully qualified Leeds United Foundation Football Coaches and the club is open for both Boys and Girls from Key Stage 2.
The club will run for 6 weeks from Friday 15th September 2017
Every pupil that attends the club will receive a certificate at the end of the term and there are also opportunities to win extra awards and prizes. Any exceptional talent may also be recommended to Professional Development Skill Centres.
Please contact the school office to secure your child’s place, or email email@example.com as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as places are limited to 16 children per club.
Pyjama Drama is a unique programme for children that combines drama, movement, music and play. It develops key skills such as concentration, cooperation, creativity and confidence, whilst stimulating the imagination and teaching children about the world in which they live. What’s more it’s lots of fun!
Pyjama Drama has been specifically designed for young children and the classes are age differentiated and carefully crafted to flow in line with children’s ability. The entire programme was developed by a former drama teacher and not only is it inspiring and fun but it has also been developed to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum.
Each half term we follow a different theme- ‘Journeys’ or ‘Magic and Mystery’ for example and each session explores different elements of this theme.
Children are put in the driving seat as they help to create and shape their own stories and then develop them with simple explorative tools such as hot seating, role play and freeze frame. Sessions are also packed with songs and music. All of our songs have been specifically written for Pyjama Drama classes and the music is skillfully incorporated into each and every class.
We also play lots of games linked to our work which is great fun…out come the play balls, parachutes and the smiles!
To encourage confidence and familiarity, sessions follow a similar structure each week; however no two sessions are ever the same. We encourage children to take an active role in their development and where possible all our drama is child led - so it is from the children’s own experience and imagination that the drama is created.
We also have a little showcase of the children’s work at the end of the term.
This club is available from 15th September 2017 for Year 1 pupils.
If you would like to find out more or book a place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0113 8346522.
Places will be given on a first come first served basis, don’t miss out!
Magical Maths is an afterschool maths programme exclusively for local primary schools. We offer mind blowing assemblies to ‘wow’ students, which we then follow up with our afterschool clubs. Magical Maths clubs are quite the spectacle; we’ve got a genius professor, world class detectives, mind reading magicians and eccentric athletes, all dedicated to making maths fun at primary school just like yours.
Magical Maths provides two six week programmes; Magical Maths Training and Magical Maths Graduation. Within these two programmes, each week involves a different theme. Here is an example of the themes that are involved with our Magical Maths Training programme:
Each week has a single, one hour session and covers a variety of educational topics in a fun and exciting way. The clubs include some dressed up characters that will visit the schools from week to week, including a maths detective, a maths genius, the mathletes, and a mathemagician. Each week there are three different activities that the children will take part in. These activities are based around mega fun games, puzzles and tricks.
